Located a few meters from the famous Le Dôme restaurant, this fish market originally belonged to the same owner as Le Dôme. It was intended to both extend the establishment’s marine identity and possess its own personality.

It now belongs to Mr. Julien Chartrain.

The facade was originally adorned with trompe l’œil faience panels painted by Cassius, following Slavik’s instructions, in an azulejos style depicting various immense and colorful crustaceans and fish with beautiful, rather surreal shades of blue or red.

Over 25 years, these marine wood panels eventually deteriorated.

With exemplary fidelity and respect for Slavik’s work, Julien Chartrain had replicas made in genuine faience for the exterior.

Inside, the same fidelity is maintained for the large panel adorning the back wall. The ceiling frieze is still made of shells. The only difference from the original is the pretty gradient dots.
