Nostalgia is not what it used to be! Where have the  Drugstore Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s<\/a>, the one on the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es<\/a>, the Pub Renault<\/a> gone, whose spaces designed by Slavik are revered by all design fans? <\/p>

Fortunately, \u00c9ditions Norma is dedicating a beautiful volume, penned by art historian Pascal Bonafoux, to this genius decorator, of whom it is less known that he was a Russian emigrant, born in 1920 under the name Wiatscheslav Vassiliev.<\/p>\n

Having become a decorator at Galeries Lafayette as early as 1943, Slavik reigned over Paris for nearly half a century until the 2000s. We owe him the design of restaurants, nightclubs, boutiques\u2026 300 decors that blend Art Nouveau influences, a Slavic spirit, Anglo-Saxon inspiration, and a touch of modernity\u2026 Slavik in a nutshell. <\/p>\n
